1. What we actually use

AIM Store does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage (a cookie-like mechanism built into every browser) to remember a small number of things, entirely to make the site work the way you'd expect between visits:

• Shopping cart — the items you've added, so they're still there if you close the tab and come back.
• Wishlist — products you've saved for later.
• Display mode — whether you're viewing the site in light or dark mode.
• Cookie notice acknowledgement — that you've seen and dismissed our cookie banner, so it doesn't show again every visit.

None of this leaves your device or is sent to us until you actually place an order or otherwise submit a form — it simply lives in your own browser.

2. Session cookies

If you sign in to an account, we use a standard, strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in as you move between pages. This is required for the account feature to work at all and isn't something you can opt out of while staying signed in.

3. Your choices

Because none of the above is advertising-related, there is no separate cookie-preferences toggle to switch off individual categories — turning off local storage/cookies in your browser entirely will stop your cart and wishlist persisting between visits, and may stop checkout from working correctly. You can clear this data at any time from your browser's own settings (clear site data/cookies for this site).
